Last weekend, my husband and I were invited to a friend’s house for dinner. During the evening, they shared how they had started juicing and how it had significantly improved their health and well-being. We could see the difference in his weight, complimented him, and became curious about his juicing routine. Encouraged by our interest, he asked his wife to let us try some of their juice.

She pulled out a fresh green juice bottle from the fridge, and I was excited—until she poured it into tiny shot glasses, like it was medicine! I couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed, but we still enjoyed the juice, which left us feeling refreshed and energized.

Later, the same friends opened their bar and offered us unlimited drinks. This made me reflect—it might have been more meaningful to serve the juice generously instead of alcohol. I wondered why they served the juice so sparingly but were so liberal with the alcohol. Perhaps it came down to convenience: the juice took effort to make, while the alcohol was easy to buy and pour.

The experience got me thinking—why not welcome guests with fresh juice in elegant wine glasses instead of alcohol? Inspired, I tried it at home with my husband. Sipping vibrant juice from fancy glasses felt indulgent, stylish, and far healthier. We haven’t missed our usual weekend wine at all.

Give it a try, it’s a simple, refreshing way to start the new year with a healthier, more elegant twist!
